Hi, Brian -
Well, I'm at home (again). Our first real snow hit here (Philly area) today. Our company is a little over-protective and closed down for the day. They have a telephone hotline for us to call ahead, but of course I didn't call it. I drove in to work anyway only to get there and find no one there but the guard.
So, back home I came!
It's working out nicely - the house I just bought had a leaky water heater, and the home-warranty folks are replacing it - the guy is down stairs doing it right now. Nice! I don't have to take another morning off work to get it done.
In the mean time, I'm getting some more free time to noodle around with my guitars!
What'r you up to?

Hi Guys;
Just at work plugging away. I did not know you lived in Philly, Mofinco. What is happening to the Flyers this year? Great start and then?
I was counting on the Flyers to beat the Leafs 2 straight last week. I'm not a Leaf fan even though I live here.
I saw on CNN the storm that is ripping up the East Coast. I hope it does not make it's way to Western New York or my area. I was hoping to make it to Rochester to stop in to see Big Al at his guitar store before the holiday break.
Talk to you all later.

It could snow 6 feet and my job would still expect me to show up.

I miss the snow. I am contemplating going shopping for some jeans before work. I am thinking shorts season is almost over.

It's not normal for NYC to get much snow, is it? We have very good friends on Long Island (Port Washington) and they never seem to get snow. Did Long Island get it as well?
I'll give them a call tonight.

Man, I DON'T miss snow! I was out visiting my family in SoCal just a month ago, and had real trouble getting back on the plane to fly back out here...
Brian - boy, the Flyers are just confusing the hell out of everyone. Everyone has their own theory of course. I think they were doing well early on because they were really playing as a team. I think the early success went to their heads and they started playing as individuals again. I hope Ken Hitchcock can kick their ass back into it again. May Bob Clarke should trade a couple of the 'name' guys away and shake them up. 'course it doesn't help that John LeClair is hurt again... Sad....:(

Knoxville sucks... We rarely get snow. All you gotta do is go 30 miles north or 30 miles south and VIOLA! Snow. But all we get in Knoxville is rain...
Spent a bit of time on the new study area yesterday... Snow on the Cumberland Plateau! Elk tracks, but no elk...

To mofinco;
LeClair being hurt is a huge loss. I can't believe ownership has been so patient with Clarke. With the great teams Philly has had over the last 10 years, I think they were only ever a player or 2 away from building a 3 or 4 year powerhouse. The blame has to go to Clarke because the owner (is it Snyder) has the money to spend.

brianf Brian - I'll tell ya, as much as I appreciate and respect Clarke, I just don't think he's a great GM, but he's Snyder's boy...
