Oh my, I need to make a trip to Brooklyn sometime.
Let us know what else you need and we'll do our best to talk you into it. I'm especially good at helping other people spend money :D
Well I DID make a recent trip to Brooklyn, and Im still in shock. I have NEVER seen anything like that '60 J200. To tell you the truth, I dont know the difference between a J200 and an Olds442... I know nothing about acoustics. But the condition of the guitar and case is absolutely ridiculous! Ive seen plenty of 'mint' 40 year old guitars, but you still always know theyre 40 years old. Yellowing, minor nicks or checking. But I swear, if Nelson didnt tell me what the guitar was, I would have thought it was made a couple months ago. NO checking, dings, pick scratches, yellowing... Nothing. Astounding! And the damn case was so new it looked like a reissue case! And I would of thought it was a new case if I didnt know better...
Where does he find this shit?
Astounding stuff! Congrats again Nelson.
However, don't blame hank for this addiction. YOU are on your own big boy. ;)

The AJ is nice, of course, but the J-200 really shows that in 1960 Gibson was still going strong in the know-what-they-are-doing department.
thanks, dan
I need to ge me one a them there un-plugged avatar-things. I think maybe a nice little black L-00 with a white pickguard would be nice . . .
