Anyone have one?
I know they are not serious guitars. But I don't have an acoustic and am thinking of picking one up CHEAP to bang around on

Tonefiend,
It's been a while since your post but I'll post a reply in case your still interested! My niece has a Big Baby. I think Taylors are "bright" sounding and the Big Baby was no different. The Big Baby is I think 4/5 the size of a dreadnought. It's comfortable to sit on a couch and play so you can keep it around the house and pick it up whenever you have a few minutes. It's a good 250-300 guitar. It's a Taylor so hopefully it will hold it's value and if you want to get a more serious acoustic later you can sell/trade it.
Hope this helps.

I keep a Baby in the living room and it's the first thing I grab when I get home from work...

Ahh I see I was hear a while ago and though I own the little one and though it's a blast to play I have a hard time tuning it. As well I've gotten some good recordings when micing one but it's hit or miss! I think the big Baby would have been a wiser deal for me!

Frankly, I'd go up one more step and get a 110. Full size, better low end, not much more than a Big Baby. I've all three at one time or another (Baby, Big Baby, and 110) , and the 110 is by far the best bang for your buck!

I got a Baby and I've recorded many tunes with it. I've played the Big Baby and been really impressed. "Not Serious Guitars"...bullshit. They may not be as complex sounding as the more upscale models but they easily hold their own in this price range.
