I like them all but I have to be very careful around the Johnnie guy. Dave, that badass in your avatar looks like he could use a stiff one!:D

Evan Williams (SB) treats me right, particularly when we're hangin' out down by Knob Creek and feelin' that Kentucky Spirit, waitin' on Elijah Craig so we can head down to the Old Whiskey River.

I'm on a heavy rotation of Rebel Yell, Jameson's and Myers. I've actually forgotten what I was trying to cure!

Who makes Rebel Yell?
Is it available in most stores.

I picked up some Jameson's today. Haven't tried it yet. How do you prefer it? Neat or over ice or w/ some mixer?

Haig & Haig Pinch... room temperature... sipping away at a double...

brian: I think Rebel Yell has its own distillery... it isn't made by a larger company.
It's like a "lighter" Jack, but with a different after-taste. Definitely a sour mash. I first heard about it years ago when a magazine said it was Keef's favorite. Not terribly hard to find anymore, but ya gotta keep looking. Bigger stores are more likely to have it... it's a Courvoisier/
Grand Marnier/Bailey's shaped-bottle.

winston: I prefer Jameson's neat, but it's good on the rocks, too. And lately I've taken to adding some water to Irish or Scotch (2/3 whiskey, 1/3 water, no ice). Takes the "hit you in the face" alcohol edge off, and allows the
mellow flavors to come through. I don't like mixers (cola, 7UP, juices), except for club soda or chocolate milk (I'm not kidding... rum and c.m. or scotch and c.m. kicks butt!) And you probably thought I was some kind of connoisseur!
