Your in luck Nelson I played two of them.I really liked them but I didn't find them to posses the tone quality I was after, they sounded very good though. They seem to have good response, equal highs and lows, and a nice smooth sound.I actually thought the J-200 koas were better sounding, those rocked.I think your D28-GE is actaully a better sounding guitar than the BRW J-200 imo.:)

Nelson, I've played an original that was very, very nice with the Brazilian. It had a darker tone, due to the rosewood. I personally prefer koa and maple SJ 200's. It seems that the bass strings become more crisp with koa and/or maple.

hope this helps.

Nelson, there's a remote chance I'll go to the IBMA convention in Louisville in October. Otherwise, I don't know of any festivals in KY.

IBMA = International Bluegrass Music Association

That's very, very cool! I hope to convince Cousin Sara to "let" me go to IBMA. I've got a lot of friends in the business and would like to congregate all at once.
