I try everything and keep coming back to these. I love the way they feel and sound. I use to like the DR's pure-blues but I like the GHS better.
I have a bunch of the Gibson Brite Wires nickel plated, don't care for those much at all. Then there's the D'Addario nickel 11-49, they sound good but don't feel as nice as the GHS. Must be the rollerwound.
Yup, Nickel Rockers!
What say ye?

I like those, Spose.
I must be the only one around who likes Dean Markleys. I've got good results for 25 yrs with em'.
GHS is my next fav, then the D'Addarios which seems to be the only brand that ever breaks before I change them.
Any EB fans out there ? Testify !!

I used to use EB's but I am faithful to the GHS boomers now.

Someone on the LPF suggested Kendrick strings. I *love* em. They come with extra unwound strings, total of 9 in a pack.

I usually use the Gibson vintage strings on my Les Paul. When I can't get those I use GHS nickel rockers. I like them just as well.
I don't like the boomers quite as much but they are okay with certain guitars.
With Fender Strats I used to use Ernie Ball but since I got the relic Strat I use the Fender Super 250's. That is what comes on the relics from the factory and they sound great with that guitar.
I have also used the new Everly strings and like them pretty well too with a Strat.

I've always been a GHS PNR guy, but with the new relic they sound a little too, I dunno, subdued. I'm looking for GHS Burnished Nickels in this stinkin' town but nobody's heard of them. I'd like to try a set before I do a big order via the internet.
DR Pure Blues are always my alternative.

I use Kendrick Pure Nickel Round wounds. I tried the GHS strings
and found that the Kendrick .011's have the more bell like tone
quality I was after. Their web address is...
www.kendrick-amplifiers.com
The down side was that a single is real pricey...
I havent' tried NR's in 10-46.. Only 11-50??. I need to find a set to try,,
Pretty much DR's Pure Blues/Titefits, and D'addario's...
But, this IS Arkansas, and i guess I should be glad that they at least have D'addario's around here.. But GHS's are no where to be found.
It could have been Peavey strings.. I bet Snags is sponsored by those....

I'm not much of a string snob but I'm learning to love EB skinny top heavy bottoms. I just seem to keep going back to them.

I've been going back and forth between Boomers and Nickel Rockers for many years - since the days they were called 'GUS'. It's been about time to switch back to the Nickel Rockers... and no place around my area carries them. Guess I'll have to find an online source.

I like the GHS boomers. Skinny top/Heavy bottoms are cool. I use to use the EB ST/HB's but swicthed to the GHS 10's.

Are those the ones that go up to something like .070? They make bass strings look small. I wouldn't mind trying them but I'd hate to recut my nut to find out I don't like them or worse yet, that my neck doesn't like them.

I've used pretty much Boomers and Markleys all my life but will probably try the Nickel Rockers soon. Been hearing good things about em tone wise:)

Ah! Just got my 12-pack of Nickel Rockers! I'm switching over from Boomers (for about the 10th time).
