I love the board, back, and sides and I bet it sounds just phenominal. But does anybody else feel there is a discontinuity between the paint job on the top and the color of the rest of it?

That's the Gibson sunburst with a Brazilian back. If you see it in person, there wouldn't likely be a question of discontinuity.

very possible. I've not seen that particular model in person. I do have an old Gibby acoustic here, but it doesn't have brazillian sides and back.

My AJ has Indian rosewood b/s, which is somewhat darker. Real Brazilian varies a lot. I've seen a LOT of real light Brazilian within the past five years. Running low on quality perhaps.
