Steve since you live in St Croix do pay up the Wah Zoo for guitar items?

some things are ok price wise. i can get strings for about $6 a set locally. the coated strings, when available run about $12-$15.
most things here are pretty poor quality. samick, hondo, crate, peavey, & roland are a few of the "names" the local guy sells.
he won't carry fender products because they have to be distributed through south america, even though we are closer to miami.
most roland/boss stock is priced about the same as in MF.
the change in postal rates has bunped the price of items up a bit.

the closest thing we have to an "electrical supply house" is radio shack.

jackie was stateside and i asked her to pick me up a few sets of d'addario exl115w or exl110w. for $8.99 the shopowner gave her exl115. without the wound3rd they are useless.

do you have a good line on someone that will ship via the usps that has a good selection & price? i am down until i get strings.

so much for my rant. have a good day. i'm off to the beach.

Hey fishboy, you need some wound g's? I got a handful of wound .18s. They mght be a bit big for your slat-water-pruned fingertips, but they're yours if you want them.
And you might actualyl try www.juststrings.com to see if you can order your strings direct.

fishboy? fishboy??
i'll have you know i will be known as "the ampifier winningest aquatic dude from cafe wah", sir. ;)
on a somewhat lighter note - what do you want for them thar strings? i could definately use a few. let me know the $$$ and maybe we can work a deal out. seroius negotiations could be forthcomming.

seriously, yes i am interested.

i tried juststrings.com a good while back and they were unresponsive to me. i will try again though.

also, in the current MF catalog (MY holy bible regarding musical stuff) they have wound 3rd sets for $5 or so.

thanks for the info big guy
gonna go try to iron the wrinkles outta my prune-like-fingers.

nelson,
depending on the shipping there can be excise tax as well as inport/customs duties. anything that can come thru the us postal service is free of these t'ings. that's why if a company insists on shipping fedex/dhl/airborne/brownair, etc. i look for another source.

Hey Steve...

Try www.stringitup.com (http://www.stringitup.com) . Their prices are great, usually cheaper than most online string outlets, and they have free delivery on orders over $35. I don't know how the free delivery thing would work for your location, but I know they ship worldwide. These guys are personal friends of mine from back home. Great guys, every one of them. If they don't have it, they'll order it at no extra cost.

Just my :2c ...

I don't think they will live very long in your climate. I live in Okinawa Japan and found the 80/20s just don't last. I hope you find differently.
