I just sent my 2002, Taylor 710 CE to the factory for the repair of a crack along the side at the waist. The frets had some wear.
When I got it back $ 600.00 dollars later. My sweet guitar sound is gone.
The intonation is off. The strings buzz. The tone is tiney and too bright. I don't know in particular was done that made the changes but I am very, very disappointed. I know they replaced the nut and lowered the action (truss rod adjustment). I will end up taking it to Ron Pace here in Houston so he can take a look at it. Taylor has been very accomodating about the issue so far and has offered to cover Ron's charges.
I really just love the tone of my 710CE and I am looking forward to getting that great tone back.
