Any way to get rid of them? Isn't there any filtering?
Do any of the mods or admins check here from time to time?
I know this is pretty much a dead place but a few of us still post here and exchange greetings and experiences sometimes.

Hello Tom.....long time since I checked in but I'm still around. It's 7 o'clock in the evening in good ole NW Louisiana and it's 96 degrees :jm .
I can't do anything about the spammers, unfortunately. Lily?
Otherwise, I've been doing the electric blues in your bedroom thing for a good while now. Poser par excellance! I'm also trying to study Tom's blues lessons when I have spare time.
I've parred down all my acoustic guitars to a total of three. All are custom built by Jimmy Edmonds of Galax, VA. Awesome stuff.
I really appreciate the few of you hanging around. I may not have a lot to offer but I'll try to check in more often.
Thanks! hank :)

I tried deleting the threads but our delete option ability's have changed. I can delete the thread but can't get it to disappear from the screen.

Well, thanx for caring, anyway. :)
For those who care: I'm playing and practicing my acoustics a lot these days, trying to get better at fingerpicking - blues, rag, old-time stuff. ;)

I have been listening to a band called The Wilders. They play old time country and I really like them. Check them out on You Tube.

Hi, folks. It's been ages since I stopped in, but a lot has happened in recent months.
First, I don't know about the spamming issue you folks have. I'm a mod over at IndieMusicWorks.com and we do have the abaility to kill posts, threads and ban offenders. Every site is different, so I can't speak to this site.
I hope to get back to some regular playing. This time last year I was in the midst of a five-month work-related detail to Dallas from Boston. It was a work gig fell in love with, and in a place I've been wanting to move back to. I had to return to Boston in October, but by January there were permanent jobs posted for here -- Dallas -- and I was selected for one of them. We made the move in March and I couldn't be happier. The job is titled course developer/instructor and it is with my federal agency.
Since coming to Texas, I've been part of a travelling road show of sorts, presenting an Overview course about out agency and the jobs we do, around the country. So that's been fun, too.
I hope to pop in here more regularly now that I found my way back to checking in. Sure have missed y'all.
Paul

Howdy folks. About the only way to clear up the spamming mess is for Lily to lock up the signup feature & approve each request for membership manually, & that is a chore for her.
Over at The Fender Forum we (the mods) had to be on top of it about every day, & here's what we did: On the forum index page look to see who is the "newest member". If it is someone w/a screen-name like "Aaccqgxf" or "Lefsbiasusa" then that's probably a spambot. After you ban that member, do a search of their IP at the moderator's control panel. Roll up yer sleeves & start banning the teeming hoards that show up in that list.
Here are a few from TFF:
LoothTonaReat
onlineblackjackk
Pharmpromoter
picturbikpi
Zzvukttz
I'll work on this every chance I get....and people wonder WHY we do this...:XRE
