Y'all know I've been on the search for an acoustic amp on a budget -well, I picked up a Kustom Sienna 35 (http://www.kustom.com/product_detail.aspx?TypeID=5&FamilyID=74&ProductID=85&Tab=2). It had a favourable review in a german acoustic guitar magazine and it's pretty cheap so I decide to go for it. I'll have the first gig using it tomorrow - we' ll see!

Hey Tom.....Is that a tube amp? Looks great, somewhat vintage. Back in the '70's we had a Kustom our parents bought us. Don't remember much about it other than it had 2 12's and was very loud. Eventually we ran that thing in the ground.

Hi Allen! No, it's solid state. I don't think that there are tube amps out there for acoustic guitars and I don' t think it would make sense - you don't want tube overdrive in an acoustic guitar and if you want you'd be better off with a magnetic soundhole pup and a standard tube amplifier. I've played a short duo gig on saturday and I liked what I heard - it did what I want from it - to act as a monitor giving me a reasonably good acoustic sound without me expecting it to do any wonders. Now I'm looking forward to use it at rehearsals with the (semi-) acoustic band that I'm playing in for fun.

Hey Tom, Happy Thanksgiving :yah
I ran into that tube problem last week while playing my mandolin thru a Fender twin. The last thing you want is a distorted G string :##
