Great site-I'm new to the site and have a couple of questions regarding my d35. I have a couple of Kaiser capos, but they don't come close to fitting the neck on this instrument. Can anyone give advise as to who makes a capo that is engineered for the wider neck that this guitar has? In addition, the pickguard is beginning to curl at the base. I haven't done a search on parts availability or removal/installation guidelines-can anyone comment on how to do it (safely) and where to get parts? Thanks!

I used a Shubb Deluxe capo on my D-35 and still do on my OM-35 with great success. As for helping your pickguard, I would ask here: http://p082.ezboard.com/btheunofficialmartinguitarforum
There are a lot of luthier types hanging about there, plus a multitude of Martin owners!
Are you looking to reglue the pickguard back on, or installing a new one? Frets.com has lots of info on pkgds on it.
For a reglue:

I think Greven might make a 'Black' one that's beveled & polished, if you want to keep it looking like a D-35. :wail

Thanks for the input! I am looking to buy a new pickguard as the old one is starting to curl. I just received a Shubb deluxe capo (and bought one of their winders while I was at it). What a great capo-it works fantastic.
