Bought my HD 28V about four years ago & didn't get the Geib style case with it as I had a really good case already.
Since actually seeing the case that it would have come with I've regretted not going all of the way.
Yesterday I finally picked one up (Geib Style 545 ) and man is it the sweetest case I have ever seen.
The good guitar deserves it!
Yes, I love the Geib cases. I have one waiting on a new custom guitar I'm having built.

Fits the guitar so well it doesn't move at all & is so nice it's almost as exciting as getting another guitar...........well sort of.

What are you having made Hank?
What style?
I'm having a Martin D-28 Herringbone-30's style being made by Jimmy Edmonds of Galax, Virginia.

Yes, your guitar does deserve a good home......
I did the very same thing. They're top-notch. I had an HD-35 that came w/ the thermo-plastic case, & I wasn't crazy about it. Even though, the dealer said it would offer better protection. I ended up, getting a 545 for it, off of ebay. I held on to the thermo one, and when I traded the HD in, it went back as just as I got it. Now, my J-65M resides in the 545 just perfect...no slop at all! Don't you just love that green wrinkly lining!

Hank, I replied to your post earlier but it seems to have not shown up.
What I said was it looks as if you are getting control over a good build & I hope it turns out good for you!
RnB,
Yes I like the green crushed velvet & as the guitars finish gets darker & darker it really helps show it off too.
Those plastic cases are really bad if the guitar gets in any high heat area's.
