I've been looking at several wireless guitar systems for use in church. I've stayed away from the lower end Nady, Samson, etc. and am now comparing the wireless guitar systems listed below in my price range ($300 +/-). Please help me decide which would be the better system. Thanks!

Man, you're in way over my head. I'm strictly acoustic ....... at the house. :D

When I buy something like this, I depend a lot on the reviews. I've never had any experience with a wireless system. I must admit that I ran thru your list rather quickly and have nothing to offer other than I've never had a problem with anything made by Shure. So, that means I'd buy a Shure system before anything else. Hope that helps!

Well, here is my opinion. Either of the Shure's are good performers but the one on sale for $199.00 appears to be a single channel unit. Depending on where you are performing that could be a problem. The second Shure system has multiple channels and would therfore be a better choice.

I would look strongly at the Sennheiser unit that is on sale for $449.00. It looks like a strong performer with plenty of options. Audio Technica systems scare me a bit only because I used one and had problems.

If you can find one, Electro Voice makes an outstanding wireless system. That is what we use in our church. Battery life is an issue though. We are lucky to get 7 or 8 hours out of a battery.

Stay far away from the cheap Samson units. The more expensive ones are a bit better.

Thanks guys for the input. I just won a Sennheiser system off of eBay so I'll give that a try (lots of channels to see what works best).

So, how did this system work out for you (I know this thread is a little old, but the infor might be helpful)?

My bass player and I actually went with THIS CARVIN WIRELESS SYSTEM (http://www.carvin.com/products/single.php?ItemNumber=UX16-BP&CID=WIR) earlier in the year. Well mine is this newer one, and his is an older model, but for the dinero, you can't beat them.

Granted we use it mostly for our electric stuff with the full band. If he and I are doing an acouitsic guitar/bass guitar duo gig without the full band, then we use regular guitar cables. But when we do a full band gig -- for which we set up with the wireless units -- we still use the wireless for our opening, semi-unplugged set.

The older Carvin rig that my bass player has is a single channel, but the newer one shown here has something like 16 channels you can dial in. Very nice, and at a fair price. I'm very happy with it, and they are wicked good fun to use. It's great not being tethered to a cable.
