any of the dallas members remember the club that bill tillman (& his brother the chef) opened in a hotel in downtown dallas sometime on the late '70s early '80s? something like the "kings table" or something related to royalty. went a few times. interesting bands (no names that i remember), off the wall menue, and good drinks.
maybe i have selective memory but i remember the place as pretty decent.

I think it was the Royal Revue. I played it once or twice. Rough crowd for a rock band, they were into jazzzzzz...

EdR,
i think the "royal revue" was towards the end of its life.
i was playing in a small band called "batteries included" and we were booked with an all chick band called "batteries not included".
probably the only gig where the headliner sucked more than we did. mostly cover songs (a lot of "fanny" and the like) but spent most of their time tuning or just noodeling a tune before they played it. the drummer was really hot with a see thru shirt AND see thru miniskirt. the lead guitarist could not even have gotten laid by giving away her complete rig including a clean looking strat in white and a 'nice goldtop deluxe. that girl WAS double coyote ugly!! ( but i'm sure she had a great personality).
ahhhhh sweet(?) memories

Don't remember batteries not included.;)
So how'd the night dive go?

the dive was one of the best.
due to the usual cruzan confusion we got a bit of a late start and had a problem finding the site. long story short, got in the water about 10:20 and the coral bloom occured almost exactly at 10:30. the event was very short lived but the aftermath was incredible. there were literally thousands of red disk starfish out, a massive slipper lobster, orange tipped corraimorphs, a tiny octopus, and the bioluminescence was like swimming through a bonfire! got home about 1am.
as far as our band "batteries included" and the chick band "batteries not included" ( i think from louisiana) both were pretty unremarkable. us because we were a garage band and they just sucked.
gotta run and make a place for my 2 new free amps ;)

Don't be yawning underwater- you'll drown. And don't drip seaweed on the amps!

WHEN i win them, there will not be any sea water around, except that what lives in our atmosphere. remember that here even plastic rusts.
but what do you care? those amps are gonna be mine!!!
mine, i tell you!!!
and, i may just buy me a nice epiphone and put some killer rio grands in it. then i will rule the world. well, maybe my little bit of this world. if the old lady will let me rule it. maybe when she's off island i can rule for a time. but that will be OUR little secret.
so, there!!

well, both of my cats McGuinn & Cassandra and the 2 chinese cresteds (with hair thank you) Ditto & Nosh Hit Sherlock have all said the amps are mine. trust me on this one. they collectively would not lie. after all i feed them and do not let the neighbors rotweiller get anywhere near them. they speak the truth. if your cat knew me, i am sure it would say the same thing. animals have a keen sense of understanding when they have all of the facts.
have a pleasant evening.
now if i move the beer keg just a little bit to the left, the vox amp will have plenty of room by the marshall. what a lovely picture this will make.

I am SO defeated. Fine, since I know I'm not gonna win the amps, I may as well just go home and go to bed.

How did Jaco met his FAITH, I though/heard it was an ACCDENT!:(

Jaco had a terrible drug habit, and he wasn't healthy Someone beat the holy hell out of him in a parking lot one night and he was so weak from the drugs that his body wasn't strong enough to heal. Or something like that.
