Is this an odd bird? An old National tenor tricone in German Silver I believe:

Do you have Bob Brozman's book on Nationals? There's some tenor resos in there!

Looks like a Naional Tenor to me. National made Tenors and Plectrum banjos, the Tenors join the body at the 17th fret, the Plectrums at the 22nd. They were both available in single and tri-cone, and in various engraving patterns, some quite elaborate. National also produced metal resonator ukes and mandolins, the ukes came in vaious sizes.
Seems like more of these unique seldom seen Nationals have surfaced in the last few years. Lowell (Banana) at Players Vintage usually has a couple on his list.
