I'm taking my j-45 to a jam session tonight. We'll see how this guitar performs in a band situation.

My j-45 played great. I love this guitar. I'm working with an acoustic outfit- banjo, some pedal steel, bass and drums as well as other acoustic guitars with a heavy emphasis on vocals. I prefer to put a mic on the guitar rather than plug it in. Overall, I was very pleased and very proud to show it off. I can't wait to use it again.

Cool! Do you do any fingerpicking on her (alone or with the group)? How about slide? Did the pickup sound good/bad?
I'm going to get a J45 one day and like to hear about it, it's adaptability to other styles other than strumming and stuff.

The j-45 is perfect for strumming and fingerpicking. It has a very distinct sound and tone and it's a very comfortable guitar to play.
Since there are about 7-8 people in this band, we all take turns doin' our thing in different combinations, alone- duets and everyone singing and playing together.
I want to use the j-45 all the time because we're trying to stay as "acoustic" as possible. The 'Bluegrass' approach - picking and singing. But we only do some trad. bluegrass stuff as well as the Dead, the Beatles, Stones, Eagles, Neil Young, The Band etc. it's good, clean, fun.
