Well the Dylan DVD (also shown last night on PBS) "No Direction Home" is excellent! Music and History, History and Music--and great footage of the famous "Cafe Wah"! (Now I understand...).
I especially liked all the references to Poetry & Literature, like Ginsberg ("Howl"), Kerouac ("On the Road") as well as earlier literary influences like Paul Verlaine and Arthur Rimbaud (19th French Poets). Ginsberg's passing of the torch statement was pretty profound. And of course the music was great, Folk and Electric!
Who else enjoyed the show?
