........I have finally gotten around to making my first post. I visit the Fender Forums as well as the Les Paul forums as I own and play electrics. I have a very popular/unpopular philosophy in my approach to guitar. The guitar (whether electric or acoustic) is fundamentally and simply a guitar. I don't find anything that I can do on one that I can't fundamentally do on the other. That's probably a very scholarly position but it works for me and most all of my students. Having said that, after many years of absence (21 to be exact), I purchased another acoustic guitar. It's a Sonata-not very expensive but I like it. It has a nice neck and feels just right for me. I got my eyes on a Tacoma or preferably a McPherson one day soon but until then, she's my baby.

I've played guitar for over 32 years as well as piano, woodwinds, bass, percussion and vocals (I am a music educator 10 hours a day and a performer the rest of the time) The guitar has always been my passion and I just love being in the company of a good guitar and great players. I've been lurking about and there's some good stuff and some talented people in here. Lot's of good stuff.

I hope you'll let me hang around for a little while. Maybe, I'll learn something. lol No time like the present. This is a wonderful forum. I'd also like to share my website with you. Please go check it out. The link to it is Musically Mr M @ SoundClick (http://www.soundclick.com/bands/2/musicallymrm_music.htm) If you click on my music page, there's an acoustic number there called "Opening Dialogue". I do all the guitar parts on that one. There's about 28 other original songs and if you have the time, I'd sure appreciate some of you giving me a listen and maybe even a few pointers. I'll take constructive criticism wherever I can get it. :) Check It Out.

Great To Be Here. ;)

After replying to your other thread earlier, I thought I'd see if you had a post in this forum as well---and, by golly---you do! That's quite a mix of music on your soundclick site. Your description of the playing in Mark's Melody is very fitting. A lot of great music there :yay .
