Hi, I'm new to this forum and fairly new to acoustics in general. Awhile back I bought a nice new Tacoma acoustic that rarely sees much use. I'm mostly into electrics and wanted to know if there is anything special I should do while storing my acoustic for long periods of time? Thanks :stone

Did I post this in the wrong forum or am I just asking a stupid question? :blp

I would keep it tuned to pitch or a half step down and store it in it's case on edge or standing position....not flat on it's back. I would also store it in a room or closet next to an inside wall of the house if you live in a damp or cold climate.

Keep it in it's case when you're not using it. Avoid extreme temp. changes and dampness, give it lots of love and it'll be a lasting friendship. maybe slacken the strings a bit.
