I am your worst nigthmare. I leech the very energy of life from all I come in contact with. I am always looking for something for nothing. I am all about the Free Lunch. I don't pay my dues, don't pay my bills, and don't feed my pets. Unless I catch yours. Then I feed them to MY pets.
I kill plants out of sheer spite, I destroy carpeting like it's going out of style, I hold out my hand and fully expect you to fill it with money and when you don't I get bitter.
I tell you lies, and when confronted I deny culpability and assign YOU the blame for getting suckered in. I manipulate the environment to my OWN advantage, cheat the system for my own profit. I rob, cheat, lie, steal, and blackmail at will, and I kill for the jollies.
I'm the guy that cuts you off in trffic three times in less than half mile, and then flips you off for being in my way. I'm the guy that throws his trash in your yard when you aren't looking. The guy that takes five handfuls of free stuff and puts it on eBay for a huge markup? THat's me. I will talk bad about your family, friends, pets, habits, hobbies, and YOU.

Don't piss me off.

i shamelessly own a SG and an old (but not too old) princeton reverb amp. a couple of acoustics round out the stable.
i am known on another forum as the "ultimate beach bum". a title i srtive everyday to uphold.

I thought we talked about this before...during the meeting with the heads of the 5 families. You were there. The offer was made. I asked, "Why do I deserve this generosity?" Then it was dropped. I remain independent from the Tatallia family. They can keep control from 48th street east. We thought about a deal, but when the subject of Rio Grande pickups came up...it was over. I won't deal that kind of stuff to the kids.

Hey Nelson..What local?
I used to be in Local 60 when I lived in Fla....(Only because they waived the initiation fee)...Did that type of work for a living for about 20 years here in New Orleans and Pensacola. Both La. and Fla. are "right to work" states though.
Then I spent 10 straight years touring as a guitar tech...(well, not "straight" years..heheh..maybe I should say "consecutive" years)
Now I'm retired from the road and have a full time guitar repair business catering mostly to working pro players.

here... check me out if you want.

Good luck Mike Hansen..it's a great gig...indoor work...cool in the summer and warm in the winter...no heavy lifting...no living in hotels.

Ed Rafalko
08-31-2002, 09:54 PM
NO, Nelson, I kept myself kinda busy today and didn't even think about it until after 8 PM, when all the stores were going to be closed before I could get there and make a choice.
I DID buy some stuff today:
2 packs of hot dogs
1 pack of American cheese, pre-sliced
2 3-liter bottles of diet coke
A HUGE bag of styrofoam popcorn
breakfast- a chili and cheese omelette
Last night I dropped by the Guitar Center and asked them for a couple boxes to ship guitars in. Now all I need is some more packing tape and I can say goodbye to the Lopsided V and the Deweyburst.
I woke up early, went to the store, came back, decided I was hungry and went to breakfast.
Then I came home and proceded to destroy a halfsheet of half-inch plywood trying to make some fixtures. Along about 4 PM I abandoned that idea and went ahead and did what I was going to use the fixtures for manually. ( I'm making a couple fingerboards , I'm talking about making the inlay pockets. It's harder than it looks!)

I hope to do something about the TV/Aquarium situation tomorrow or Monday. But I'm being awfully indecisive, which is very unusual for me. Usually I know exactly what I want, where I want it from and how much I want to pay for it, have the transportation/delivery/placement plan all lined up and ready to go, and have three or four budget plans worked up for possible unforeseen expenditures. This time around I haven't done much research. I'm slacking.

I'll get over it. I think it's because I expect this will probably be the last TV I will buy, so it should be built to last a while and have the correct features, and I am not entirely certain what those features should be yet. In the case of the aquarium, I think I'm waffling because I know it's incredibly impractical to set up a huge aquarium in an apartment , even if it's oin the first floor, because my lease only goes for 15 more months and I'll probably have to move it then, PLUS it's HUGE, it would dominate the whole place, and since it would be running at around 80 degrees it would also bump up my power bills, both by its own use of electricity and by the fact that its sheer mass will heat the air around it to its own ambient temperature, thereby forcing the air conditioning to kick in a lot more often.

PLUS, I haven't really decided on what filtration designs I'll be using, and that WILL make a difference on the type of tank I select. I do have a few species of fish picked out that I'd like to keep- but one species is extremely rare ( in the hobby, not in nature) and they only find it in the wild in early summer, so its window of availability for this year has already closed, and a second species I like has just been placed on the 'red list' - the list of endangered species in the wild- and I don't know that I want to have an endangered species in my living room. The fact that the ones that might end up in my tank are born and raised in captivity doesn't mean much. Or does it?

I can relate to this a bit. Last summer, I quit my job of 9 years as a manager of shipping operations for a Kitchenware wholesaler to go back to school. Currently working on a electrical engineering degree.
