It gets slow in here - just thought I'd give it a boost!

Actually, let's give it a good boost.
I've been out with a friend looking at basses for him and I stumbled across a Dobro Hound Dog. It sounded really nice and was reasonablly priced. The wood body gave it a real mellow sound for a resonator.
Had any experience with one? Any provide insight for me on the differences (other then the obvious wood/metal thing) on the two styles? Any comments on the wooden dobro's.
Oh yeah, I was comparing it to an Epiphone steel body single cone.
Thanks eh?

My old college roomate still plays a Dobro he bought back in the early 70's. It still sounds wonderful and has held up really well. I haven't heard it live in many years, since he moved to California in '75 and I only talk to him on the phone, but he says it still does the trick.
