:ola Hi Stranger!
Long time no talk, I hope all is well.
Sorry but I can't help you with your question though.

Gazza MY MAN! Glad to have you back!
I acquired the subject guitar on New Year's Eve 2003. It's a fine specimen. The Golden Era bracing plus the red spruce top make it work. What else sir?

HI Brian, good to see you.
Hank, the CW is obviously a flatpicking beast, what are your thoughts on this guitar for a Flatpicking/Fingerpicking instrument? Is this guitar a boomer?
Simply, yes. It's a boomer.
I have a D18GE and a D-28GE to go along with Clarence. Mahogany on the 18, Braziliam r/w on the 28 and Indian r/w on Clarence. It's hard to pick one over another. Hold a gun to my head and I take the 28. Clarence gets played the most however.
I'm not much of a fingerpicker Gazza, but the flatpicking is perfect. The action is right. Good luck! :2c

Thanks Hank. I actually found a local store that had one. I went and played it last night. It was a great guitar but unfortunately not what I'm looking for. I also played some Goodalls, as always they blow me away. Have you played any Goodalls, hank? Killer guitars. If not I think you'd like their TRD(Traditional dreadnaught model).
Dave
Gazza, I played several Goodall's recently, including the Traditional you mention. For me, they don't capture the tone I want. Just my taste. They are FINE guitars, but very pricey. I hope that wasn't too negative. I'm just an old Martin-hugger. :2c

No hank, I see your point of view. I also have a tough time loving guitars other than martins.: ) I even feel guilty when I buy other brands.
