that guitar is from 1938 or 1939....it was the replacement for the long diagonal ES-300 pickup...so this pickup would have shown up first on the ES-300...and then some L-5s and Super 400s.

Here's a couple of newer ones. The Super 400 is one of the first run of Historic Reissues of the '39 Premier. The other box is a Blonde Gobel.
