Anyone know what Martin Dave uses? I've seen him twice on the tube now and I am curious. He gets some really nice tone from that thing.

Well apparently not. The DM3MD is only available in limited numbers and apparently Dave isn't using it but the Martin site tells us this....

"Dave Matthews has been a dedicated fan of Martin guitars for years. His more recent acoustic tour with guitarist Tim Reynolds incorporated the use of several Martin instruments, in particular Dave's Vintage Series Martin Dreadnought and Tim's special effects enhanced D-35."

I'm not familiar enough with the Martin line to know anything about this dreadnought that they mention.

Any help?

I thought he played a Taylor?

(Ducks for cover)

Or maybe he plays both, plus his Gibsons?

(Builds a stone wall)

As much as I like Dave, I never liked his tone with the Chet Atkins. I'm glad he's moved on.
