Hi everyone, I'm new here and figured someone could hopefully help me out?
I just got a 63 Hummingbird in a trade with my 68 J-200 and it's got the adjustable bridge, but the saddle is made of ebony rather than the better sounding ceramic one.
Anyone have or know where I can locate a ceramic one?
Whatever it costs!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

The ceramic saddle for your 1963 Hummingbird should be identical to the ceramic saddle on some of the new Epiphone Elitist acoustics (Elitist J-45 and Elitist Texan). Call Epi's service department at (800) 444-2766 and have them send one out to you.

Thanks for that, I'll give it a go!

Probably not- the '63 will be SAE and the Elite will be metric. I'd call Gibson and see what they could sell you- there have to be some ceramic saddles floating around their Custom Shop.

Just a thought, are you sure you want that ceramic chunk back in there? I mean no dis-respect, I know you know the sound you want. They are ok to be sure, kinda bright sounding for my taste. I had my tech remove mine and install a nice piece of Brazilian Rosewood in that huge space and a bone saddle. I like the realistic woody tone better. Sorry I can't offer you my ceramic part though, got to keep it in the case just incase I sell at some point and can offer the buyer original parts, you know.
