My local PBS station has an open mic program on Sundays and tonight it was just a guy and his guitars instead of a band.
I recognized his Gretsch and his Godin but he had another acoustic that I'd never seen before. There was a name on the headstock but it was too small to see.
OK here's what it looked like---single cutaway and looked to be really thick. What got me was the soundhole, the entire soundhole was above the low E string and shaped like a kidney!
It can't be very old because he had a cord plugged into the back.
It sounded real good and he was playing Chet style.
Any ideas?Just wondering.Thanks.(Edit--vaguely kidney shaped)

Sounds like a McPherson.
Check out this web site and see if that guitar is here.

How did it sound ?
Never actually played on myself but I've been told that they are really rich sounding especially played finger style.

If not a McPherson, it may be a Tacoma - LINK (http://www.tacomaguitars.com/)

Motojunkie,

Tacoma? Didn't even know they existed. Thanks for the link.
Do you own one? Ever played one?

I've never owned one or played one. I stick to mostly electric.

I remember seeing them in the local GC, and when I read the description, I immediately thought of them.

Hot isn't word then.

So what do you think about this forum? I usually log on and see only 1 member and 0 visitors. This could be a cool forum if people would use it. How 'bout you. Get on it often?

I really like this forum, I don't post a whole lot, I'm not one of the more knowledgable guys out there. I really enjoy the atmosphere, everybody is really friendly. I'm a closet forumite, I lurk, learn, and post occasionally - I usually check on this forum at least a couple of times a day.

Yeah I thinks its pretty cool too. Lots of good people and lots of support for everyone's efforts. This and the Fender Forum are good things.
I'm usually on once a day but that depends on what else has to be done. Always something goin' on.
Anyhow, Its been nice talkin' to you, but other duties are calling me now.
Hey, next time your on line and see me puttin' in my 2 cents worth give me a shake down and we'll talk a bit more.

Hey fellas,
Been away from a computer for a few days.Appreciate the links and the help, but I still don't see the guitar that guy had.
I wasn't too interested on a players level before.
My interest is piqued now.
