.......... sorry guys,...I have been working like a fool the last couple of weeks..

well, head to head with the Nomad 55... I was very VERY happy. I really think this AMP is under-rated. The clean channel is nice,.. it does break up and do a very cool "blues" thing w/ the volume about 5.. and it is loud. but with a chorus pedal and backing the volume up on my humbuck guitars it can do articulate clean sounds @ small club levels.

overdrive on this amp,,....well,...it just ROCKS, I know why Marshall is a legend. I really feel stupid that I have been playing for 20+ years and this is my 1st Marshall. The overdrive sounds "classic" ...it is really a thick sound. IMHO this channel sounds better than my buddy's MESA. OD2 is a work in progress...I dig it..but, I know I can dial it in better ..I just have to get a better feel for the overall volume and the gain. the MESA has me beat on this because of the "real" third channel and the DAMN solo button on the footswitch.

this is a L-O-U-D amp, it sounds GREAT. I LLOOVvVvEEEE it. Only bad thing about this amp... The standby switch didn't work out of the box..well, it works but, the light inside it does not..

It is kinda funny, I have a CRATE VC 5212 50watt 2x12 I paid $800 for 5 years ago. a Rocktron replitone 2x12 120 watt amp I bought for $600 not even a year ago. And a 72 or 73 bassman 70 watt 4x10 .. that are now POINTLESS... well the Bassman is cool....

I love the 1x12 size, what a blast to carry.

nice review.. sounds like a potent little combo. Does it have a speaker ext. out? I wonder how it would do under a 4x12??

anyway, good luck with it...and I bet the switch light is an easy fix.
