This is my first post here. I am a diehard Gibson acoustic player, playing only Gibsons on stage with Brooks and Dunn. I own 2 Brazilian AJs, and they are the best guitars I own, including my '36 D-18. In Oct. 2002, I was at the Arlington show, at the Gibson booth, with Eric Klotz (Bozeman GM) and Steve Stone (VG "Acousticville" writer) . I was holding a new Brazilian AJ, when up walks a man with an old case. He opened it, and brought out a 38 AJ. After jaws closed, we A-B'd the two, and the new AJ, in everyone's opinion, was as good, if not better than the 38. The new guitars are some of the best guitars Gibson has ever made, and it blows my mind to think how they'll sound in 50 years. My 2 absolutely KILL, and will be with me forever. Gibson has it goin' on!

Tony, you are indeed THE MAN! I've got a 1990 AJ Reissue that's East Indian rosewood, but killer.
I hope to see you at the Nashville Guitar Show Saturday, March 1.

I have a regular 2002 AJ with Indian RW and it's a great guitar. I agree about these things.

The brazilian AJ is next on my acoustic target list. I think it is the best acoustic Gibson is building. The Indian RW version is 9/10 of the ADI/BRW version also.

the doctor of love! Yep, the Braz/AJ's I've played have been tops. Literally, the tops have been red spruce/Adirondack. Great stuff.

1997 AJ RI here - don't know if it's Brazilian or Indian, but indian, I guess. Got it second hand it '99, I wouldn't call it a used, rather a "pre-owned" guitar and I love it.
