Yes, all sites crashed today due to a maintenance person at our server home base throwing the wrong switch and blowing some stuff to smithereens....

Looks like we're back. Hold on, not sure we're past the bumps yet, but at least we are past the dreaded gray screen

OKAY!!!! CRASH #2

Actually, the databases were damaged due to the plug being pulled from the last crash - so Server Dude has been working really hard to migrate us over to a new, uncorrupted server.

Keep your fingers crossed....:bug

I just had 4500 error messages in my email box!!!

Born in Red Hook, Brooklyn
In the year of "who knows when"
Opened up his eyes to the tune of an accordian
Always on the wrong side of whatever side there was.
When they asked him why it had to be that way
"well," he answered, "just because."

Thanks, I needed to get that out of my brain.
I love that tune.

I'm back now.

You know whats weird? She always sounded okay - but up until about 3 - 4 years ago, she was just a bit brittle sounding, you know?? - not so warm.

Then one summer she woke up. It must have been the summer humidity and heat. The top started checking a bit and I swear thats when the sound improved. It got really loud & warm. That guitar improved 100%. I really do love it now.

But now it needs a refret.

Nelson, you must get that J 200 you want!!!
I bet you will love it.

Lily, that's weird. My D-16A got pretty checked up riding home on a ship when we returned from Germany. When I opened the case I thought "Oh s#$%!, but when I restrung it and tuned it up, it sounded like a different guitar - louder, more bass and overall resonance. Wonder if laquer checking is responsible for the improvements?

Lily

I absolutely think that is the case.

no doubt in my mind. Once the lacquer starts to check, the wood can breath and the top is free to vibrate more. One reason nitro is the way to go.:bh
