Stxrus steered me here when I asked a question about my acoustic guitar at the Repair Shop of the House of Horns. I saw some familiar names at the Sound Hole, particularly Lily and hank from the LPF (formerly the UGLPF).

For those who don't know me from the House of Horns, the Jag-Stang/Jaguar/Mustang discussion board or Fender Info-Base, or from last year when I used to frequent the LPF, here goes:

I am a woefully bad amateur guitar player, mainly because I spend more time talking about guitars than actually playing them... My under-used guitars are: the crap Winston acoustic I learned to play on, which deserves to be under-used, my Gibson The Paul II, which doesn't, and my Yamaha FG-375SII acoustic, which despite the intonation problem referred to in my other post is a FAR better guitar than that piece of $#!+ Winston I learned to play on.

I live in Kingston, Jamaica and am currently in my early thirties, an age I thought I would not live to see. I thought I would have been murdered before this. People are murdered in Kingston on an almost daily basis.

I used to ride a motorcycle but I sold it in November. Apart from regular transport, I had two goals in mind: to ride around Jamaica, which I did in October 2001, and to get a full motorcycle licence, which I did last February (yes, AFTER riding around Jamaica...). I bought a car two days ago and I now have the perfect answer to GAS... loan payments!!!

If I think of anything more to say, I'll add it as a reply to this post.

Oh, yes: while I was writing the post I am now replying to, I got a reply to my other post from the great Ed Rafalko! He mentioned that Tonefiend is here, and I saw elsewhere that he has an official capacity here (not surprising).

Are RICH and Kreig (the DICK!) here too? If so, are limericks allowed? :tfiend

Welcome SamBlob! I knew you'd been AWOL at the LPF. This is a great community that needs good folk like yourself.

I'd say it's good to be back, but I hadn't been here before... It's good to see you all again, though!

Think I'll go to Music Mart on Saturday and get strings for both of my good guitars. I'll need to set up the TPII 'coz right now it has no strings, bridge or tailpiece on it...
