Bonnie Raitt and Lyle Lovett are playing the Mineeesota State Fair next week. Love to go to her shows cause she always looks like she's havin a great time, plays a mean slide, and is usually surrounded with some pretty talented people.

Some people say she has a harsh voice, but when I throw on a Bonnie Rait CD I find her voice very soothing and sexy.

She's cool, but not a personal favorite.

I've never bought any of her stuff either (although my wife has), but I like Bonnie. I was amazed that in that recent "400 greatest guitar players of all time" thing (yeah, I know. Those polls are always stupid), the only female guitar player on the list was Tracy Chapman??!!

She is one of the finest slide players ever. No doubt about it.

One thing for sure: she had a pretty good teacher in Lowell George!!

Hi eveybody-My first post here.
I enjoy Bonnie Raitt and have for a long time. Here's a quote from her that I wouldn't have expected...

"AC/DC's Highway to Hell is the greatest meshing of vocal, guitar and contentI've ever heard. That's what I aspire to."

Who woulda thunk it?

saw them last yr. here at the beach. Lyle was on crutches. Good show, bonnie needed to work on the set list a little more though.
